We regularly commission analysis and reporting from outside contributors. Please familiarize yourself with our coverage before getting in touch to better understand what types of stories we publish and how we approach them.
In your pitch, give us a sense of the subject matter — especially your proposed angle or argument and what it adds to the conversation — and what sources you plan to interview, plus other relevant people, organizations or companies you would hope to touch on. We ask that you try to give a sense of the Why now? — this can mean a lot of things other than a straightforward “news peg,” but is something we consider when assigning. Please also include a few of your relevant clips and/or a link to your portfolio so we can get to know your work.
